Bee Day “Symbiose und Zusammenarbeit” – in German
Annelieke gives a presentation and workshop on the yearly conference of the Swiss “Arbeitsgruppe Naturgemässe Imkerei” (AGNI – Working Group Nature based Beekeeping) titled “Bees as messengers of love, bridgers of worlds, carriers of unity awareness and connectedness” – English with translation in German (all other presentations in German)
She shares pictures and stories of her personal journey as inspiration for how bees and humans can work together as custodians of our Living Earth. With examples about regeneration of landscape, human culture and co-creation through honey bee rewilding and “bee companionship” in her local watershed in South-West Alentejo, Portugal.
Her workshop will include uncomplicated, small rituals to establish connection with bee colonies, and some practices to open the senses and enrich observation skills.
This day is about symbiosis and collaboration in Nature, “Life in and around the Hive“, the year theme of AGNI.
Other speakers:
Lukas Wilhelm Eberhardt zooms in on a micro-level: the micro biome of bee intestines. How research can lead to protection of pollinators and contributes to insights in ecology and evolutionary biology.
Andreas Gigon takes us in the mechanisms of symbiosis, from flowering meadows to a wider, systemic perspective, illustrating the importance of symbiotic relationships for nature’s “ways”
